The Glamazon Diaries: My favorite online style site, hands down. DC It Girl Makeda writes a site that keeps me in the know on what’s cool, hip, on sale and most importantly, how to use pieces already in my closet in hot new ways.

Where You Are Planted: Silver Spring parent, gardening coach and freelance writer Alison Gillespie’s blog gives gardening tips and beautiful musings about our local ecology. She’s also the Sligo Naturalist in the Takoma/Silver Spring Voice.

The Junk Pyramid: I love decluttering (hey, if you can’t shop til you drop in this economy, why not spend NADA and make your house look like a design show?) and Stimey‘s spin off blog dedicated to her decluttering of her home totally and completely satisfies my voyeuristic tendencies. Watching this chick declutter old cassette tapes of Ratt and Testament makes my day. I secretly want to be Niecey, Trish, Matt and most of all Mark, it’s true.

The Silver Spring Penguin: A daily must-read for all denizens of the SS. Jennifer Deseo, past APISS Woman of the Week, writes a great site. And how else would you know that there’s free food and drinks at Jackie’s on Wednesday night?? Be there, or be square.

Rabbi Doug Heifetz’s of Oseh Shalom’s Blog – This local rabbi’s reflections are enlightening, entertaining and inspiring. He’s the rabbi of Oseh Shalom in Laurel, a vibrant, family-focused Reconstructionist congregation.

Reston Mom: Recipes, shopping discounts, fun outing ideas in Northern Virginia. What’s not to love? Great for Reston-area parents and Marylanders alike.

Notes from the Cocktail Moms: This local lifestyle/crafting/entertaining/eco-living online magazine is the work of moms Gretchen and Jessica. Who needs to spend $4 on a glossy with these indie writers creating such an awesome ‘zine?

DC Blogs – Great links from writers across the DC blogosphere. Every time I read I discover a new blog for the feed.

Thanks everyone for keeping me cool. Because that’s the golden rule, you take your kids to school, you keep it cool:
