Since the age of 11, I have had a desire to try out every hair care product and tool that comes out.
Those bendy hair curlers I saw in Seventeen magazine?
Had ’em. As well as a square crimping iron…
And non-permanent spray-in hair color.
Thankfully, my tastes have matured, but my inclination to keep on testing products endures. I signed up to participate in the compensated Walgreens #TryandTell review campaign with Resourceful Mommy‘s Global Influence Network. I shared my thoughts on the new products on my latest MomTV Live broadcast. Below is the hair care portion of the show.
My favorite of the products I tried was the new Dove Oxygen Moisture Leave-In Foam. This product boosted my limp hair without making it crunchy feeling or itchy on my scalp. I am the owner of five other root-lifting and body-increasing styling products, so I was jazzed to find a new one that works and is so affordable. This product works on both roots and ends, and allowed me to wash and go, giving body without blow drying. I was impressed.
I received some samples of the Suave Moroccan Infusion Styling Oil, and I likd that it provided shine and nourishment without making my hair feel greasy. I could use it one day and not have to wash it the next, which is pretty sweet when it comes to an argan oil. And the price is like a quarter the cost of some of the other Moroccan oil items I have seen at my salon.
My hair is already straight as a pin, but I have several friends who pay big bucks for salon keratin, Brazilian and Japanese straightening treatments. I was excited to give away on the MomTV show the TRESemme 7 Day Smooth Control Keratin Smooth Starter Set. The set costs just $13 and should keep your hair silky straight and frizz-free for a week and through several washes.
And right now when you buy these new products at Walgreens, you will save 25 percent! If you are a Walgreen’s Balance Rewards gal, you will also receive 2,000 points, or a $2 reward per item.
In addition to my opinions, you can see what others are saying about the new Dove, TREsemme and Suave hair care products by searching #TryAndTell on Twitter.
