This is a sponsored post as a member of the Global Influence Network. My children received goodies for their baskets and I received a bit of compensation as thanks for posting. All opinions are my own.
My kids love Easter. They get that it is the most important Feast Day of the church calendar. We look forward as a family to attending either the beautiful evening Easter Vigil Mass, or the joyous, music-filled Easter Sunday morning Mass.
But although we are trying to raise saints, no one is immune to the call of the chocolate. The Easter baskets, the treats, the fun trappings of Easter are cute ways to convey to small children that this is a special, important holiday. Candy can illustrate a momentous holiday especially well in a family like ours in which chocolate, jelly beans, peanut butter cups and the like are not on the menu normally. These “heavenly” delights [see what I did there? Hey, at least I didn’t liken the coming of our Lord to the coming of Cadbury eggs. Go ahead, groan.] are only rolled out on very special occasions in our house.
The Celebrate With Hersheys site is jam packed with lots of creative Easter ideas to make the holiday memorable for your children. Basket ideas, coloring pages, Easter recipes, crafts, eCards, Easter scrapbook paper and more are there for your home and church celebrations.
GIVEAWAY PRIZE FROM HERSHEY’S: See all the goodies pictured above? An assortment similar to that (just as large and awesome, but exact contents may vary slightly) is what YOU can have shipped to your house in a big box straight from the Hershey’s folks in Pennsylvania. Notice I kept all the candy in their wrapped state. I did not dare unwrap, even for photographic purposes. My willpower is too low. I shot the lot and then put all the goodies back in the box and RETAPED IT. With heavy packing tape. There it will remain, even during stressful days, two glasses of wine and feminine cycles, until Easter Saturday when I compile the kids’ baskets.
To enter to win a big box of Hershey’s goodies for your family this Easter, enter the Rafflecopter form below. One winner will be randomly selected from all combined forms of entry on March 7, 2014 at midnight.
