eShakti: Beautiful, on-point dresses, tops and skirts that you customize to your measurements for a perfect fit

I love a good dress. One piece, some accessories and you are done, dressed, out the door. The right dress can skim over the places you would like to keep under wraps, and highlight your goods of choice.  You can feel girly when the occasion calls, or light and airy when the heat rolls in. In fact, during the warmer months my dresses usurp my jeans for primo outfit choices. Above the knee, maxi draggin’, I dig them all.

I had the chance to choose an eShakti dress for review and I went wild amongst the dress options. Some of the dresses are classic, some are retro and some are totally current. I finally settled on the eShakti Black Cotton Knit Dress. I knew that I would get tons of wear out of a cotton knit in my go-to color, and also knew that this style would be incredibly flattering. The cut-away tank top is very hot right now, the gathered bodice gives subtle style, and I liked the fitted high waist but breezy full skirt.

When it arrived I tried it on and it fit perfectly, because instead of ordering via an arbitrary number (10? 8? 12? 14? 6? I have them all in my closet, depending on the brand and cut), I sent the eShakti dress makers my personal measurements.  What I received was a dress that fit my hourglass figure to a T. The bodice does not pull or look too tight and the waist is nipped in just right. The result is a custom dress that I adore. I opted not to go for pockets to keep it streamlined (although I have read reviews by others who LOVE the option to add them) and I opted for the standard eShakti length which is a little retro-first-season-Mad Men, making for a look that I do not already own amongst my minis and maxis.

I can see myself wearing this dress to church or to a summer concert, with heels or flats, with white or pastel accents – it is crazy versatile. But yesterday for Mother’s Day I wanted to wear my oh-so-comfy skin-toned Franco Sarto Falco wedge cork sandal heels, so I paired the eShakti Black Cotton Knit Dress with earth-toned neutral items.
