If you are in need of a good laugh, I urge you to check out the You Look Nice Today photo pool on Flickr. This is part of a new project of Merlin Mann, Adam Lisagor and Scott Simpson, three strange and funny website-wielding dudes who met on Twitter.
If all that text above was Greek to you, just check out these photos for the hilariously bad vintage 70s, 80s and 90s embarrassments. Suckers like me have posted shots like the following homecoming dance photo, which I would just like to clarify to the really patient, kind and wonderful guy who took me to this dance after I asked him – the joke is on me, my horribly overdone hair, as evidenced by the clear expression of pain on the poor dude’s face:
If you are a blogger, what are you waiting for? Grab your most hideous pics, scan them and add them in the name of all things funny.

Moonlight Persuasion? For Homecoming? That’s just wrong.
You do look adorable though! Were we ever really that young?

Is this the stunner I borrowed for 80s prom party? The night you taught me that true friendship is leaving a party early to make grilled cheese and tomato soup for an ‘overserved’ friend.

Um, you are too amazing. I *was* coming over to hear, hear you on the “it’s been a way long time coming, Springtime” post over at DCUM. But now I too am speechless. I think your hair looked pretty amazing, if I may so my former spiral-permed self (you achieved my dream way better than I ever did). In fact, my 20th hs reunion is coming up and all the folks I haven’t seen since then who’ve seen pics of my curly haired daughter all say “Her *hair*! Is just like yours.” Sigh.
