We are a Peeps candy loving family. We gave them out at Alice’s baptism party (pink chicks with the note “Please take one in honor of Alice Elizabeth, just hatched.”) We have a blast visiting our local Peeps store in Washington, DC’s National Harbor. So at Easter time, we tend to be a little Peeps passionate.
Since it is tough to find time to shop in-person, kid-less, for the Easter treats, I have been loving shopping at Peeps & Company’s online store this season. They have everything our kids love (unlike our local Target the night before Easter…trust me, I’ve done it and the pickings are slim…and weird!)
I chose the items featured above for each of my three kids. My favorite offerings were the giant chocolate egg with a yellow Peeps chick inside, adorable white over-sized white Peeps bunnies, dark chocolate-covered Peeps (probably the best treat ever), rainbow-colored Peeps pops (so cute sticking out of a basket!), Mike and Ike jelly beans (so much tastier than the old school ones I remember from my childhood.) You can even present all the goodies in a plush Peeps basket.
It is not too late to order your goodies! The Easter shipping deadlines are Wednesday April 9 for standard delivery, Monday April 14 for 2nd day delivery, and Tuesday April 15 for overnight. Personally, I would rather pay a little extra for shipping and skip the trip to the mall.
If you like to keep your kids’ baskets candy-free, Peeps has cool and cute gifts online, too. From Peeps-themed Matchbox cars to art kits to school supplies to nail polish, the kids’ basket stuffer items are useful and unique. Although they are sugarless, the children’s gifts are still sweet.
I hope this Peeps-themed post gives you a little Easter basket inspo. The hardest part, I think, is not digging into the treats myself before Easter morning!
I received a Peeps gift card to facilitate this review. No monetary compensation received.
